Upland, San Bernardino County
Mount San Antonio, known to everyone as Mount Baldy, rises above Upland to more than 10,000 feet, the highest point in the San Gabriel Mountains. The road to its ski lifts and trailheads climbs out of the north end of town through San Antonio Canyon. Upland also has Cable Airport, a family-owned airfield that has been open to the public since 1945.
